My Apartment. One Year. Before & After

BEFORE

AFTER
The green decorative bottles are actually Mexican Sangria (Grape Pop) bottles that I just took the label off when I was done drinking them. Not only were they tasty there green glass mesmerized me.  Was happy with my new spot for my bird painting. The huge mirror was a $5 dollar garage sale find. I love how mirrors make small rooms look bigger by creating the illusion of bigger open spaces!!!
I love my peekaboo kitchen, the fact that there is no wall in it is awesome because it is so tiny. My floor is always covered with many cat toys. In this photo they are all tidily picked up in one place, like that lasts for long!!!!
I refurbished the beautiful table and the purple mirrors. I painted all the paintings. The other mirror was a great Savers find (discount type store like Goodwill)!
The two black and blue ceramic bowls/cups on the long platter I made in one of my outpatient therapy groups. The rest of the pretty pretties on the table I got from Good Will or Savers or Clearance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is another lovely table I refurbished that was almost thrown away at my apartment. I also made the blue ceramic bowl and the other purple ceramic piece in my therapy group. The two paintings on both ends are mine. The Moroccan like mirror I got on a trip in Kyrgyzstan.
My TV Armoire although a little wobbly is beautiful and I got it only for $20 at Savers. And the huge TV inside and the DVD player I got it for free at my apartments free table!!!!!!
The beautiful piece above the tank I got at Goodwill for less than 5 dollars. The tank and wooden stand I picked up curbside for free. Just paid for the stuff inside and the 7 fishes that my cat loves!
I made the three ceramic vases in my outpatient therapy group. I didn't do any other art in that group, all I did was make ceramics, I never knew when I was going to have the chance to use a kiln again, and for free (well insurance)!!! The beautiful cupboard you cant see in this pic is filled with all my crochet yarn. I traded our families old unused treadmill for it. The only thing we used it for was to hang clothes on!!! I love birds. When I'm an old lady, there might be a chance of me having a bird figurine collection!

Thanks for letting me share my apartment/studio with you. If you wonder where I do art. I have an official dining room size table and shelves galore setup in my bedroom. I never use it. LOL. Its good to store stuff. But I find I love to sprawl out on my couch and do art, using my coffee table and all the other seats to hold my stuff. My couch is the only thing in my house I paid full price for and I use paint on it all the time, you know I'm an artist then, oooooh risky!!! Rubbing Alcohol works wonders.
